Ya'll remember Anna, the shepherd mix that was with the two chihuahua's that were starved and neglected? Well, she was skin and bones too and also ended up testing positive for heart worms. 😢 After being in a fabulous foster home she has become strong and healthy and completed heart worm treatment and is ready to find a home that deserves this sweet, precious soul who still loves people after they failed her. "Anna is a delightful 1- 2-year-old shepherd mix weighing about 36 pounds (just the perfect medium size!) Anna came to us with two other small dogs from a horrific situation where she had been starved and neglected. Along with that, she was Heartworm positive.
Since being with us she has undergone heartworm treatment, was spayed, etc. and is a happy, easygoing girl who loves to play but is just as content cuddling on the couch and relaxing with her people.
She is house trained, rides well in the car, walks nicely on a leash, and gets along great with other dogs, cats, and kids. Shes not destructive and doesnt have bad habits around the house, making her an easy companion to have around.
Anna came to us from a heartbreaking situation where she was nearly starved to death and little more than skin and bones. Since then, shes lovingly nursed back to health and has absolutely blossomed into a sweet, affectionate, and grateful dog! She is going to make a WONDERFUL addition to a family!
Anna is current on vaccinations, spayed, microchipped, and completed heart worm treatment. To apply to adopt this special girl fill out an application on our website today!"

WITH HANDS OF HOPE IN KANSAS! Meet the absolutely sweet Athena! She a 4-year old, 65 lb mixed breed. Athena is gorgeous inside and out! She is the sweetest girl who gives the best snuggles. Athena is very kind and gentle with the smaller dogs in her foster home, and has also done well with a dog her size. It is unknown how Athena would do with cats but does do well with kids.
Athena is a very smart girl who already knows “sit” and “shake”. She is a people pleaser and is capable of learning so much more with some basic training. She came from a home who loved her and spoiled her so she is looking for the same type of new home.
Athena is house broke, but does not appreciate being crated. She is up to spayed, current on all vacs, microchipped, heartworm negative and on monthly prevention.
