Problem Summary
The objectives of FAR is to decrease the recidivism rates in Barton County Communities. Currently, the Department of going up and down over Corrections for the State of Kansas, in its fiscal year 2019 annual report, shows recidivism is going up and down in the past decade. Even where there are signs of decreased recidivism, those reductions are short lived with certain recidivate behaviors vary. Meaning, in one particular area, recidivism may be decreasing while in another increasing.

Welcome To Finally Addressing Recidivism - FAR. I am Sarah Haugen-Flagg founder of FAR and partner in reducing recidivism. Together as a family, friends, and judicial systems we can rehabilitate our loved ones. This isn't about second chances. It's breaking the endless cycle and giving everyone the opportunity to live a successful life without obstacles to hinder that process. FAR is a 501 c3 not-for-profit and is established in Great Bend, Kansas. At FAR we will move in a spiritual fashion in assisting individuals who are at risk of recidivism. We will work with local law enforcement agencies, judicial branches, and the business community to establish work, education, housing, and closing the gaps which create recidivism. We appreciate your support in reducing recidivism! ITS NEVER TO LATE TO LEND A HAND!
