💔 Our hearts are a little heavy today.

These sweet faces all attended our adoption event yesterday, hoping to catch the eye of their forever families. Unfortunately, they all went home without applications.

Lars, Lennox, Rice, Tortilla, and Holly have been growing up in rescue and have been waiting nearly two months for someone to choose them. Indy, Gabby, and Stewart have experienced the heartbreak of being returned and are once again searching for a place to call home.

We know they aren't tiny fluffy puppies anymore, but that doesn't make them any less deserving of love, companionship, and a family of their own. 🐾❤️

Every single one of these dogs has so much love to give. They deserve cozy beds, belly rubs, adventures, and people who will love them forever. 🏡✨

Please help us share their stories. Their perfect families may be out there—they just haven't found them yet. ❤️🐶

Also, there are SO many fur-kids in a similar situation as Jax that still need help, so if you can foster, please sign up to do so. They need your help just as much as this sweet boy did. ❤️

This is Jax. This handsome boy is approximately 3 years old and we were told he has lived with kids, cats, and other dogs. ❤️🐾

Jax is scheduled to be euthanized today because his family is moving. We were contacted to see if we could help him, but unfortunately we cannot step in without a committed foster family.

Right now, Jax is on borrowed time. He deserves a chance to live, to be loved, and to have a safe place to land. 🥺

Meet Stewart aka Chase 🐾☀️

This handsome Vizsla mix is approximately 1-2 years old and is the perfect combination of adventure buddy and cuddle bug 💕🏕️

Stewart absolutely loves exploring the outdoors, playing with other dogs, and soaking up all the snuggles he can get 🐶💛 He also doesn’t mind kitties, making him a pretty easygoing guy!

Like many Vizslas, Stewart is smart, affectionate, loyal, and full of energy ⚡🐕 Vizslas are known for being “velcro dogs” because they love being close to their people and are happiest when included in all of life’s adventures 🥰 Whether it’s hiking trails, beach days, camping trips, or backyard zoomies, Stewart is ready to be your sidekick!

Meet Crookshanks aka Daisy 🐾💕

This beautiful girl is approximately 1.5 years old and around 45lbs of sweetness, silliness, and love 🐶✨

Crookshanks has been spending time with our trainer learning the basics, building confidence, and discovering that the world is not such a scary place after all 💖 She has been working so hard and we are incredibly proud of how far she has come!

This pretty lady would thrive in a calm home with a laid back doggy friend or even a kitty companion to be her new BFF 🐕🐈 She’s looking for a patient family who will give her the time and space she needs to feel safe and loved. Older kids or an adult-only home would be the best fit for her 🏡💕

We are desperately in need of committed foster families 🐾❤️

Every day, amazing dogs and puppies are waiting for someone to give them a safe place to land. For many of them, fostering is the difference between life and death. 😔

When you foster through our rescue, we provide all supplies — food, vet care, crates, and support. All you need to provide is love, patience, and a temporary home while they wait for their forever family 🏡✨

Watching a scared dog learn to trust again or helping a puppy grow in a loving home is one of the most rewarding things you can do. Even fostering one dog can save a life and open up space for us to help another animal in need 🐶💕

If you’ve ever considered fostering, now is the time. These dogs need heroes, and heroes don’t have to be perfect — they just have to care ❤️

Over the past couple months , we have seen a significant increase in calls and emails from people asking us to take in dogs with serious behavioral concerns, including dogs with bite histories toward people and dogs that have severely injured or killed other pets.

These conversations are never easy. We understand that many owners are facing difficult situations and heartbreaking decisions. However, we need to be honest about the realities that rescues face.

Animal rescues are not equipped to be a solution for every behavioral issue. Dogs that pose a significant risk to people or other animals cannot safely be placed into most homes, and finding appropriate placements for these dogs is extremely rare. At a time when shelters and rescues are already overwhelmed, we are struggling to find homes for wonderful, behaviorally sound dogs that are simply waiting for a chance.

We know this may be difficult to hear, but love alone cannot always overcome severe behavioral issues. Sometimes owners are faced with making incredibly hard decisions, and those decisions cannot simply be passed on to a rescue organization.

Our mission is to save lives while also protecting the safety of adopters, families, children, other pets, and our volunteers. That means making responsible decisions about which dogs we can safely help and place.

We encourage pet owners to seek professional training and behavioral support as early as possible when problems begin. Early intervention can make a tremendous difference and may prevent situations from reaching a crisis point.

Thank you to everyone who supports rescue, adopts responsibly, trains their pets, and understands the difficult decisions that sometimes have to happen. Our goal will always be to advocate for animals while also being honest about what is safe, realistic, and in the best interest of both pets and people.
