What could you make with recovered leather?

Applications are open for MAL: Leather. We’re selecting 20 artists, makers and designers to turn recovered hides into new products, prototypes, artwork and experiments.

Selected participants receive materials, a $250 stipend, studio access and project support.

A lot of our work begins here,with sorting, testing, cutting and learning what the material can become.

It isn’t always the most visible part of the process, but it’s where possibility starts.

OMG, Mondays! They come for ya sometimes don’t they 😂. The positive thing is, that it puts you one day closer to meeting some of these talented humans! Meet a few more of the designers, artists and makers participating in This Thursdays Material Activation Lab!
That’s right, this Thursday from 5pm onward. Come eat, drink, hang out with us and all these talented folks who make the MAL come to life! There will be raffles, silent auctions, giveaways and more!

It’s the weekend y’all and we are stoked! Let us take a second to introduce three more amazing individuals participating in the Material Activation Lab!
The MAL showcase is June 25th this coming Thursday, we can’t wait to see you all there! Oh did me mention it’s also our 10 year anniversary party the same night! Get a ticket, come hang with us, meet the artists and explorer their work and hear about their process. Tickets include drinks, snacky foods, entertainment and more!!
