The Latinx Youth Conference has been successfully done for over twenty years and continues every year to involve for local middle school Latinx 8th students in focusing on their future opportunities in education, community, and workforce. This conference provides a huge opportunity for local eighth graders to explore career paths at a critical time when they are headed into high school. The event will feature workshops designed to get students thinking about all their options including college, trade schools, banking opportunities and/or opening their own business. For the last two decades, the Latinx Youth Conference has sought to instill a passion for education in students by offering them:
• A glimpse into the college experience and other career pathways
• Coaching them on success strategies
• Affirmation of their Identity and sense of belonging
• Tools for improved mental endurance and emotion management
* Scholarship opportunities are available for students.
* Sponsorship opportunities are available to support this event.
