🐕 October is as well as month. So, we wanted to take the opportunity to showcase some of our volunteer’s adopted pups, many of which also happen to be pit bull type dogs. 🐶

🏳️‍🌈Happy National Coming Out Day - we are always a welcoming & safe space for all.🏳️‍⚧️

📸 Check out this weekend’s distribution numbers & photos! We had a small but mighty team.

🐛We were HEARTBROKEN to find that stupid pantry moths had invaded a corner of our dog food storage area which caused us to throw away HUNDREDS of pounds of food. Brand new bags, treats in containers, they chewed right through. We added items to our wishlist to mitigate this issue, if you can help. We cannot continue to operate without the amazing donations that we receive & we need to fill our shelves back up! *If any local pest control companies have any ideas to help, please reach out!* (We DO have monthly pest control coming out to prevent furry critters but unfortunately that doesn’t help with the flying ones!)

*CLIENTS: Please stay in your vehicle upon arrival & add yourself to the waitlist on our website. Follow the prompts carefully as they may have changed.

‼️We are asking folks to park on the street or in the empty lot across the street until you receive the text that it is your turn to come up to the building & pick up your items. We will only call you up when we have a parking spot available. You may use that time to also quickly look through our little free store but we will not be able to page the next family until you’re done so please only take what you need. ‼️

Muskegon County!!

Did you know that we have provided 4️⃣6️⃣9️⃣ microchips for FREE to dog owners in Muskegon County?! 🤯

Since I have a severe OCD need to be at 5️⃣0️⃣0️⃣ before the end of the year, I am doing one last day of FREE microchips for 2026!!

The microchips are FREE for any dog owner in Muskegon County. All you have to do is show up and fill out a tiny bit of paperwork. We even register the microchips for you so you literally have to do nothing besides show up!

Because accidents happen and dogs get loose, having your dog microchipped is the quickest way to make sure you are reunited with your pet!🐾

💉October is National Pet Wellness Month! 🩺

SO…We wanted to highlight our FREE vaccine & microchip clinics because we’re SO happy to be able to provide these services to our community!

For the past few years, we’ve been able to offer these clinics 3 times per year & they get busier every time! One of our long term goals is to offer vaccines, microchips, & preventatives more often. That’s where YOU come in!

Your donations truly make a difference & allowing us to offer these services at ZERO cost to pet parents!
