Friends of Berthoud Pass Preserving the legacy of public recreation at Berthoud Pass.

Since 2003 our Grassroots Avalanche Education program has taught basic avalanche safety and awareness to more than 10,000 people. In 2010 we launched a Scholarship Fund to enable volunteer instructors to pursue advanced studies in avalanche science, safety and education.

The nonprofit Friends of Berthoud Pass first existed to preserve skiing in the area. Now, they're helping skiers and boarders stay safe.

Stoked to be showing Cody Cirillo's film; A Hundred Words for Wind, at the frist ever Beacons and Brews Film Fest this Thursday, Nov. 6 at the The Oriental Theater. Tickets are selling fast. First 100 in the door get a free OpenSnow membership and a free raffle ticket. We are raffling off over $14k worth of ski and snowboard gear to help raise money to keep our classes free, and help our initiatives on the Berthoud Pass.
