This year, Canyon Cares celebrates 20 years and $1,000,000 of support for residents in need of assistance throughout our mountain community.

In 2006, a group of neighbors in Coal Creek Canyon noted that hard-working locals sometimes struggled to cover essential living expenses when unforeseen hardship such as job loss or a medical crisis created a financial shortfall. They launched a sustainable non-profit organization with the goal of providing quick, short-term emergency financial assistance. They called it Canyon Cares. Visit

🎡 The Gilpin County Fair is almost here! Join us this Friday through Sunday for a weekend of family fun, entertainment, exhibits, animals, contests, and community spirit.
