We may not be able to help everyone, but we can be a friend to the neighbor right in front of us.

Every day at Friendship Place, we see both the challenges our neighbors face and the incredible difference that compassion, generosity, and community can make.

As we continue this work, I have one simple request:

Pray for the work. Pray for our neighbors. Pray for our staff and volunteers. And pray that God continues to give us the strength, resources, and compassion to keep showing up.

Volunteer Spotlight - For six years, Brent Watts and Paul Rawson have been showing up for their Friendship Place neighbors. In 2023, they became first of the many volunteer teams to cook in our new kitchen!

THEIR WHY? Well, they believe that “although no one person can do everything, every person can do one thing.” For them, that one thing is helping their Friendship Place neighbors. We are incredibly grateful for the time, talent, joy, and heart they bring to Friendship Place.

When they’re not serving, they’re exploring the world. Together, they’ve visited more than 90 countries and territories and are preparing for another four-month world cruise that will bring them close to 100!

We are forever grateful for our community partner Catholic Charities of South Carolina for helping us put fresh food into the hands of our neighbors!

Through our recent produce distribution at Friendship Place, together we served 64 families and 143 individuals. You can imagine how excited we were to learn that 39 of those families were new to Friendship Place!

Together, we distributed more than 6,000 lbs. of produce!

🍽️ Weekend Meals Are Here! We're excited to announce that Friendship Place Weekend Meals have officially begun! Every Saturday, our Georgetown EATS team is serving nutritious to-go meals to help ensure our neighbors have access to food over the weekend.

You can support Weekend Meals by purchasing much-needed disposable meal supplies from our Amazon Wish List. Every container, utensil, and supply you donate helps us serve each meal with care and dignity.
