This beautiful 3-year-old mixed-breed girl is full of energy, enthusiasm, and personality. At 43.5 pounds, she's what we like to call a "little big dog." Built like a tank and ready to tackle life head-on, Alabama is a lovable linebacker who brings excitement wherever she goes.

Alabama would thrive in an active home that can keep up with her zest for life. Whether it's long walks, playtime in the yard, or exploring new places, she's happiest when she has an outlet for her energy and a family to share it with.

🐾❤️ Adoption Celebration! ❤️🐾

We are thrilled to celebrate Jolene and Taloose, two of our wonderful cats who have found their forever homes!

Jolene has officially traded shelter life for a loving family, and Taloose has found a place to call his own where he can continue showing off his playful personality. Seeing animals begin their next chapter is the reason we do what we do, and we couldn't be happier for these two deserving cats.

Thank you to their adopters for opening your hearts and homes. We wish Jolene and Taloose a lifetime of love, comfort, and happiness. 🏡🐱

Say hello to Lazy Miss Maize, a sweet, friendly, and wonderfully chill girl who has mastered the art of being both your loyal shadow and a professional napper. Maize is house trained, crate trained, and great on car rides. She walks beautifully with a harness and leash, although she may occasionally pull to say hello when a neighbor catches her eye — she just loves a little attention!

She absolutely loves being outside and going for walks. While she hasn’t had a fenced yard, she would likely enjoy having a secure yard to explore and relax in.
One of Maize’s favorite things is being near her people. She’ll follow you around like Velcro, but she also understands the importance of some quiet alone time. She enjoys being petted and loved on, while also being perfectly content to curl up and sleep.

Maize has a wonderfully calm demeanor. We haven’t heard her bark or howl at anyone or anything. When she needs to go outside, she gives a little whimper to let you know it’s potty time.

She has been around a 10-year-old and did very well. She doesn’t jump up on people, and although she once gently tried to investigate the kitchen counter, a simple “no” was all it took to redirect her.

As for other animals, Maize doesn’t seem interested in geese or bunnies. She has shown some curiosity toward cats, so a slow and supervised introduction would be best.

Maize can be shy and submissive at times, especially around loud noises. Thunderstorms can make her nervous and she may hide, but she settles nicely in her crate, where she feels safe and secure. Her foster family is patiently helping her build confidence.

Overall, Maize is a loving, friendly, easygoing girl who would make a wonderful companion. She loves walks, car rides, naps, affection, and simply being close to her people.

If you’re looking for a sweet, laid-back companion who will happily follow you around and then curl up for a nap, Miss Maize may be your girl! Maize is ready to find her forever home. Could it be yours?

Meet Lilac 🐾

This adorable girl has been at Saint Frances since December 2025. She is full of energy and always ready for fun. She has a playful spirit, a big personality, and a heart that just wants to make friends. Lilac absolutely loves playing with other dogs, especially when it turns into a friendly wrestling match. If there's a game of chase, zoomies in the yard, or a new dog friend to meet, Lilac is first in line to join the fun.

She's a happy, silly pup who brings a lot of joy and laughter wherever she goes. Lilac would thrive in a home that enjoys an active, playful dog and can give her plenty of opportunities to run, play, and burn off her energy.
