These numbers and the growing unemployment trends prompted the need to create the BackPack Weekend Food Program in order to feed children in need through the weekends. Each participating Elementary, Middle or High School in the county school system is partnered with a local church or community organization that has agreed to fund the program for at least one year.

🎒💙 We’re back! 🎒💙

We could not have been happier to see all the smiling faces back in our warehouse today! Together, we packed six weeks of food for our partners to distribute to participating students in Gaston County Schools.

One thing we know for sure: when we work together, we make our community a better place to live, love, and grow. Here’s to another great school year at the BackPack Weekend Food Program!

More thank-yous (and pictures!) from our incredibly successful Dining at the Chef’s Table are coming soon! We had the most fabulous weekend celebrating and supporting a cause that means so much to us.

But today… it was back to the normal grind! Our first food delivery of the school year rolled into the warehouse, and, as always, our amazing volunteers showed up bright and early to unload and get to work.

We will see our Pull Day volunteers next week as we officially get back into the swing of things!

Welcome back, volunteers! We missed you!

Cheers to another successful Dining at the Chef’s Table, an amazing night and an even bigger impact!
