Gastonia Sister Cities Summer 2027 application deadline extended to Friday, October 23rd.

Experience the World Through Friendship
Gastonia Sister Cities' Student Ambassador Exchange Program is much more than a trip abroad. It is an immersive international cultural exchange that builds lifelong friendships while promoting global understanding between Gastonia and our Sister Cities in Germany and Peru.

We are happy to announce that we received a grant from the Gaston Community Foundation, Inc. Thank you for believing in our mission and supporting our motto “peace through people” ☮️

The City of Gastonia has received $65,000 in grants from the Gaston Community Foundation, Inc. to support the Gaston County Winter Weather Shelter/Center and expand Gastonia Sister Cities programming. 🤝

The funding includes $45,000 for the 2026–2027 winter season and $20,000 for Sister Cities to support student travel scholarships and international programming.

We’re grateful to the Gaston Community Foundation for investing in programs that serve and strengthen our community.
