Salisbury, NC Area (Rowan County) — BONDED PAIR NEEDS ADOPTER OR RESCUE 🐾🩷

Meet Rumi & Mira, two sweet Pomeranian/Chihuahua mix sisters who will celebrate their first birthday on October 1st. Due to circumstances completely beyond their control, they need to be rehomed as soon as possible. Most importantly, Rumi and Mira are a bonded pair and MUST stay together.

Rumi — short-haired female
Mira — long-haired female

These girls sound like absolute sweethearts:

👪 Great with people and children
🐾 Good with other dogs and cats
🩷 Very bonded, loving, and happy
😊 Low-maintenance and well-behaved
🐾 Crate-trained & will even put themselves to bed
🏡 Mostly house-trained and also pad-trained — they will potty outside or use pads, with only occasional accidents
🛏️ Love having a small, cozy space where they can curl up together. They will come with both a small crate and a medium-sized crate to help make their transition a little easier.

Their veterinary history will be provided as soon as it becomes available.

We are looking for a committed adopter or reputable rescue who understands that these two little girls come as a package deal. They've already got each other — we just need to find them the person or family who will promise to love them together, forever.

Hi everyone!

A little update on Vintage, now known as Greta 💗Although, Vintage was a pretty accurate name, I had the suggestion of Greta which I think better suits her !

She finally had her appointment with Dr Amanda Goodwin with Main Street Veterinary Hospital.
They did lab work which came back quite well for a lady of her age. Just a couple of small areas to keep an eye on. Greta received a Simparica Trio tablet, for her basic monthly flea, heartworm prevention and deworming but is also a treatment for demodex. Greta has a lot of hair loss and Dr Goodwin thought it would be a good idea to cover all bases! She is quite thin, so we are trying to give her extra meals to see if we can get some weight on her. If so, she can be cleared for a dental to remove her TWO nasty teeth that remain 😬🦷She also, has a growth on her lip that is thought to be benign and it can be removed while she is sedated for the dental.

Greta is probably in a doggie dementia stage of her life at this point but seems happy and content. She does constantly follow the perimeter of the yard and feels it is her purpose, so we have to remind her that it’s near 100 degrees outside and walks must be cut short for fear of heatstroke!! She doesn’t think it’s a big deal but know better and get her inside and only allow short walks for now! 💗

She’s pretty oblivious to the other dogs until she runs into one and they let her know she needs to reroute 😊

In this pic with Greta is Gus! Gus and his house mate, Coco were both former Family Addition, alumni!
Unfortunately, their loving dog dad was not able to beat his battle with cancer several months ago and after some time with their “Auntie” it was determined that they needed a different environment so we happily took them both in. 💗

Their dad and I stayed in touch fairly often after their adoptions and I know he is looking down and so happy that they are back here with the senior pack! Gus is such a good boy and he gets along very well with everyone. Greta sensed his good energy and chose the bed next to him! 😍

I would like to again, thank Running for Rescues for their very generous donation towards Greta’s veterinary care and it also, paid for medication for the joints Coco’s rear legs!!

SENIOR YORKIE NEEDING RESCUE PLACEMENT‼️

Meet Vintage 💕🥰😍❤️
This girl has more birthdays behind than ahead but we know she deserves a soft place to land🥺 She wandered up onto school grounds and no owner has stepped forward, and perhaps that’s for the better💗
Vintage has several geriatric concerns (underweight, suspected to be deaf, blind, thinning hair coat, dental disease, and a mass on her jaw). We are hopeful in finding a rescue organization that can help her feel as comfortable as possible in her time that remains.

We know that Vintage will need quite a bit of medical attention which will be very costly. As a small rescue, who is mainly pulling senior/ hospice dogs right now, we could really use your support to make sure she is able to get all the necessary care to make her as comfortable as possible for as long as she is with us! One of our extended stay adoptable residents really needs your help🥺 Caramel Sundae is a playful and energetic boy, he romps around the yard with a toy in his mouth, or with a four-legged friend in tow behind him. This is his absolute favorite part of his day, but that makes up only about 15 minutes of it. The rest of those 23.75 hours are spent in a kennel waiting for the next time😔

We ordered a few doggie life jackets!! Look at Coco go!!
She did so great !
The life jacket is from Outward Hound and this was the perfect fit for her ♥️😍
