Fresno State, Student Veterans Organization All veterans will succeed in higher education, achieve their academic goals, and gain meaningful employment.

Today’s veterans face tremendous obstacles in their path of attaining a college degree. These challenges range from a missing sense of camaraderie to a lack of understanding by university faculty and peers. When coupled with the visible and invisible wounds of war, a college degree seems to be an elusive goal for men and women returning from military service. Student Veterans Organization (SVO) makes that goal a reality.

Office Closure Notice
The Veterans Resource Center will be closed on Friday, June 5, 2026, as our community attends services for Rhyen Simon Valdez.

We extend our deepest condolences to Rhyen’s family, friends, and everyone impacted by this loss.

Regular office hours will resume the following week.

🎒 Back to School Veterans Welcome! 🇺🇸

New semester, new goals. If you’re a veteran on campus, come swing by and hang out at The Veteran Resource Center.

Whether you have questions about campus, want a snack or drink, need a place to relax, or just want to watch a movie our lounge is open for you.

Come meet other vets, decompress between classes, and build community. You don’t have to do college alone.
