Juan Garcia Farmworker Scholarship The Juan Garcia Farmworker Scholarship assists students who are farmworkers or children of farmworkers with college scholarships.

The Juan Garcia Farmworker Scholarship assists students who are farmworkers or children of farmworkers who demonstrate, by hard work and academic achievement, a desire to better their lives by pursuing higher education. The scholarship serves as a memorial to Juan Garcia who was a farmworker from the time he was a child in Mexico in a small family farm in Teocaltiche, Jalisco until he retired at t

he age of 65 years old in Reedley, CA. All students who are from farmworker families are eligible to apply for the scholarship. It is for those who have worked hard in school and demonstrated Juan’s own admirable qualities of responsibility, diligence, gratitude, and perseverance. It is for those who recognize that college will require hard work and are willing to do what is required to succeed there and beyond.
