California families are already stretched thin. Now the CEC is limiting tire choices and betting that higher costs today will somehow feel like savings later.

BizFed Central Valley opposes this mandate. Affordability should come before another government rule telling Californians what they can buy.

California can protect communities and hold bad actors accountable without putting responsible small businesses at risk.

SB 811 was intended to address concerns related to large-scale metal shredding operations, but as written, it could impose costly new requirements on small, family-owned recyclers that have operated safely and in compliance for decades.

We support a balanced approach that targets the problem without creating unintended consequences for local employers, recycling operations, and the communities they serve. Let's mend, not end, California's metal recycling industry. ♻️
