Strong conversations happen when policymakers and producers come to the same table.

Today, BizFed Central Valley joined the Fresno County Farm Bureau for a discussion with Congressman Adrian Smith and Congressman Vince Fong focused on the issues impacting agriculture today. From market challenges to pest management concerns, growers shared firsthand insights on what it takes to keep the Central Valley and America’s agricultural economy strong.

Thank you to the Fresno County Farm Bureau for hosting this valuable conversation and to everyone who participated.

Last week, BizFed Central Valley joined a roundtable with Californians Against Retail and Residential Theft, local law enforcement, utilities, and business leaders to discuss the growing impact of theft across the Central Valley, from copper wire theft and organized retail crime to repeat petty theft.

We heard how agencies are coordinating across jurisdictions, sharing intelligence, and using new technologies to combat organized crime more effectively. A major takeaway: Prop 36 gave law enforcement important new tools, but full funding and resources are critical to making those efforts successful.

Protecting businesses, workers, and communities takes collaboration and we’re proud to help bring the business voice to the table.

If you care about what's happening to insurance costs, lawsuit abuse, and the hidden forces driving up prices for everyday Californians — this podcast episode is a must-listen.

Tim Capowski, Board Member of Protecting American Consumers Together (PACT), joined the Howard Jarvis Taxpayers Association Radio Show to discuss how litigation funding,
lawsuit abuse, and what he calls the "Fraudemic" — the largest ongoing insurance fraud in U.S. history — are burdening consumers and courts alike.

Tim has spent 30 years fighting on the front lines of catastrophic insurance defense and has been instrumental in exposing how secretive third-party litigation funding is driving up costs for everyday taxpayers.

Don’t let Main Street get left behind in the AI opportunity.

California’s small businesses are already using tech to stay competitive, but they shouldn’t have to “figure it out” alone. Without the right support, adopting new tools can feel like a risk rather than an opportunity.

AB 2583 changes the game by ensuring small business owners have access to:
* Tailored Training: Practical AI education for daily operations.
* Data Protection: Guidance to keep business and customer data secure.
* Regulatory Confidence: The tools needed to keep pace in a fast-changing economy.

Support to empower our local entrepreneurs.
