Wood Bank Work Day Saturday June 6th 8am to Noon - 46 Walnut Hill Parkway, North Yarmouth, Maine. We are splitting and stacking firewood to keep our neighbors warm. New wood banks are springing up statewide which is very exciting. There is no shortage of need in our state. Help Us build warmer, more connected communities. Can make it? Donations help with equipment, fuel, and sometimes snacks for our volunteers!

Hello Wood Bank Supporters!

Please join us for our First Annual Maine Wood Banks Wood Bank-quet!

This special event will celebrate the first full year of operation for the Maine Wood Banks Network and will raise funds to support a growing network of local firewood banks that provide emergency heating assistance to Mainers in need.

Maine Wood Banks is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that provides a safety net for households facing fuel insecurity. Much like a food bank, they supply firewood to families who may be struggling due to financial hardship, illness, or emergency situations.

In addition to supporting the Bethel Wood Bank, the network currently sponsors local firewood banks in Topsham, Freeport, Cumberland, Buxton, and Kennebec County, providing firewood heating assistance to nearly 50 communities from Waterboro to West Bethel, and Winthrop to Wiscasset.

By attending, you are directly helping the network and the Bethel Wood Bank increase operations that reduce heating vulnerability for people in our community.
