LGBTQIA+ individuals often face higher rates of anxiety, depression, and hardship because of rejection, stigma, and systems not built for everyone

πŸ’šβœ¨Parenting doesn’t come with a guidebook. It’s built on love, tiredness, hope, and a lot of learning along the way.

Today, on Global Day of Parents, we celebrate those who show up every day. The ones working to change old patterns. The ones healing their own wounds while helping their children heal theirs. 🌿

Parenting is tough. Really tough. And you don’t need to be perfect to be doing a good job.

You deserve support. You deserve rest. You deserve someone who listens without judging. πŸ’›

To every parent feeling overwhelmed, unsure, or simply exhausted: we see you. You’re doing better than you think.

And remember, you don’t have to go through it alone. πŸ’™

πŸŽ¨βœ¨πŸ’šCreativity isn't about being good. It's about being free.

On National Creativity Day, we celebrate the part of you that makes things just because it feels right. A doodle. A poem. A new recipe. A rearranged shelf. A messy collage made from magazine scraps. πŸ–οΈπŸ“

You don't need talent to create. You just need permission. And you already have it. πŸ«ΆπŸ’«

Creating things can help you heal. It gives shape to feelings that can be hard to find words for. It can turn β€œI’m not sure how I feel” into colors, textures, movements, or sounds. πŸŽ΅πŸ–ŒοΈπŸŒˆβœ¨

Today, make something just for yourself. Doodle. Sing. Build. Break it. Glue it back in a new way. There is no wrong way to do it. πŸ«‚πŸ’›

Your creativity doesn't have to be shared to be real. It just has to be yours.

πŸ§΄β˜€οΈβœ¨ Protection isn't just for your skin.

On Sunscreen Day, we're reminded that caring for yourself before the burn matters. A little prevention. A little intention. A little "I deserve to be safe in the sun." πŸ–οΈπŸŒŠ

Sunscreen is a small act of self-care with a big impact. And so is rest. So are boundaries. So is saying no before you're exhausted. πŸ›‘οΈπŸ’ͺ✨

You don't have to wait until you're hurting to take care of yourself. You're allowed to protect your peace ahead of time. You're allowed to create your own shade. πŸŒ€οΈπŸ«‚πŸ«Ά

So today, lather on the sunscreen. And while you're at it, check in with yourself. What else needs protection? Your energy? Your time? Your heart? πŸ’–βœ¨

You deserve to be cared for. By others. And by you. πŸ«‚πŸ’«πŸŒž

πŸ’πŸ’šβœ¨ The turtle doesn't rush. And still, it arrives.

On World Turtle Day, we're reminded that slow is not broken. Slow is survival. Slow is wisdom. Slow is how something carries itself for decades, even a century.

Some days you need to retreat into your shell. That's not hiding. That's protecting your peace. Some days you need to take one small step and then rest. That's not laziness. That's pacing. πŸ’πŸ’š

You don't have to keep up with anyone else's timeline. Your healing. Your growth. Your pace. 🐒✨

So today, let yourself be slow. Let yourself rest inside your own safe shell for as long as you need.

You're not falling behind or running late. You're moving exactly as you should.

πŸ§˜πŸ½β€β™€οΈπŸ•―οΈOn World Meditation Day, there's no need for perfect posture or hour long sessions. A single minute of noticing your breath. A few seconds of feeling your feet on the floor. That counts. That matters. πŸŒ¬οΈπŸƒ

Your nervous system doesn't need you to be still for an hour. It just needs small moments of safety. A pause. A sigh. A gentle "I'm right here." πŸ’›

So today, try this:

Breathe in. 🀍
Breathe out. πŸ’š
Notice. 🌿
Let go. ✨

You don't have to do it right. You just have to show up for yourself. Even for 60 seconds.

You deserve that pause. πŸ’™

Memorial Day Closure Reminder

πŸŒπŸ’šβœ¨ Healing becomes possible when people feel seen, understood, and represented.

This AAPI Heritage Month, we honor mental health leaders whose work continues to shape more inclusive and culturally aware care. πŸ“šπŸ•―πŸ€

And we remember this reality:

Of AAPI adults with a mental illness, 73.1 percent did not receive treatment.

Too many people are taught to stay silent about pain. Too many systems still fail to make care accessible and culturally responsive.

Meet more of the changemakers helping shift that narrative. ✨

πŸ“– Frederick T.L. Leong, Ph.D. – A professor and director of the Consortium for Multicultural Psychology Research, working to make mental health care more inclusive.

πŸ’ Jeanne L. Tsai – A psychologist whose research explores how culture shapes emotion and emotional expression across communities.

🀝 Dr. Stanley Sue – A national leader in minority mental health whose work transformed conversations around race, culture, and healing.

At Telos, we believe every AAPI person deserves support that honors their identity, experiences, and humanity. πŸ€πŸ’š

Healing is for everyone.
