One of our Envoy patients was completely immobile and faced with stage 4 lung cancer. As if dealing with the disease was not challenging enough, he was living alone, no family, and without financial means for a propane tank to heat his home. This patient was a veteran that sacrificed his life for our country. Envoy staff rallied together to ensure all of his basic needs were met. We have many stor
ies of our patients and their families facing difficult financial issues not covered by Medicare or insurance such as; lacking basic living conditions, a loved one unable to be at the bedside, and even unfunded funeral expenses. Therefore, it is with gratitude and great excitement that we introduce you to the formation of a non-profit foundation to meet these needs. The Envoy Hospice Foundation is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization funded by loving gifts from grateful families, friends, charitable organizations, community sponsored events and private foundations; all of which are essential in making a difference. The support received from donors will enable our organization to provide financial support to families in need and ultimately strengthening the hospice concept of caring during a very difficult and altering season of life.
