The Presbyterian Night Shelter, the largest provider of homeless services in Tarrant County, serves over 750 homeless women, men and children every night.

There are lots fantastic things to be found at The Greater Good Collective and Greater Grounds! In addition to some delicious Fall beverages, amazing thrift finds, and beautiful handcrafted items from local artisans, there is also opportunity!

Our Barista Training Program is a paid, short-term workforce development initiative designed to equip individuals transitioning out of homelessness with marketable skills, earned income, and a clear pathway to employment.

You can not only give yourself a treat, you can support an important employment program at the same time. Stop by Greater Grounds for a tasty beverage and put our baristas' skills to the test!

On Monday mornings, we celebrate all those who moved out of homelessness the week prior. We ring the bell of Hope Chapel one time for each person who has exited homelessness.

This morning, the bell rang 27 times! That means 27 men, women, and children who are able to sleep in their own beds under their own roof.

We are grateful to all of those who help make this possible!

We are getting ready for this year's Day of Service sponsored again this year by Lockheed Martin. This is a clip from last year's event. The project was a meditation fountain for our residents of Patriot House. The Lockheed crew put their all into it and the results were terrific. We'll have lots of new projects this year!

Homelessness is a complex issue that can affect people from all walks of life. Awareness helps us better understand the challenges our homeless neighbors face and reminds us that every person deserves to be seen with dignity and compassion.

At Presbyterian Night Shelter, we work alongside our neighbors experiencing homelessness by providing shelter, employment opportunities, and pathways to housing. These supports can create stability and open the door to a new beginning.

As we approach World Homeless Day (Saturday, October 10), we hope these facts help deepen understanding of homelessness in our community and beyond. Behind every statistic is a person with a story and a life worth knowing.

Andrew can't wait to get home. The journey back to stability has taken time, but it will be worth it once he has his own space, privacy, and, most importantly, the chance to get a new pet.

"I would love to be able to get another dog," he says.

We are deep into preparations for the 32nd Annual Home for the Holidays Gala presented by Texas Capital, and we are excited for the big event! Your small business or contacts can help make our Silent Auction a huge success this year by donating an item or experience to be included in an auction package. Each year our Silent Auction raises a significant portion of our proceeds -- all of which go into supporting the programs and services we provide our neighbors in need.

Patti has a routine. On the last Thursday of every month, shell meet with a volunteer ministry group at her church, White's Chapel Methodist Church, and head to Presbyterian Night Shelter for a celebration at Patriot house.

After serving in the Marine Corps in places like Beirut, Lebanon, Joe returned to civilian life and met some challenges. Thanks to the help he received at Patriot House at Presbyterian Night Shelter, he is now thriving. Now living in his own apartment, recently purchased a car and has forged a new future.

We're are gearing up for another big Day of Service at Presbyterian Night Shelter!

This year's event is sponsored by Lockheed Martin and will take place on Saturday, October 24, 2026 from 8:00am-12:00pm and we will tackle some big projects all around our 7-acre campus. We are still looking for Project Sponsors and for volunteer groups.
