Learn about Tarrant County’s q***r history tonight at FCL!

Hey all, join YesterQueer founder Todd Camp tomorrow night, June 18 at the Fairmount Community Library for a discussion of Fort Worth’s q***r history with members of the Yale Club of Fort Worth. From an early obsession with the art of female impersonation, to the raid of the Rainbow Lounge and beyond. Cowtown’s story is wilder, deeper, and more resilient than most people know, and Camp has spent years tracking it all down, one memory, one photo, one forgotten bar at a time. Join us Thursday night 6-7:30. Everyone is welcome. We hope to see you then!

Farewell to Fairmount Community Cycles at FCL 🚲

If you’ve ever done a craft at FCL, received a free book through our giveaways, or even just borrowed a pen, that was likely made possible by our friends at . Welman diverts waste from landfills through creative reuse, providing classrooms and libraries like ours with much needed supplies for free.

Today, the Wellies unveiled their brand new space at 2109 S. Main St. featuring bigger and better resources for educators and the community: an expanded educator supply warehouse, an upgraded maker space available to the public, , and SO much more!

Congrats on the new space and welcome to the neighborhood, Welman! Our community is so lucky to have you. 💚

Calling all kids, bug fans, and curious explorers! 🐞🦋

Join us Saturday, May 16 from 12–2 PM for a come-and-go educational event all about BUGS with Tim Brys, Collections Manager from the Perot Museum.

Tim will bring an exciting collection of pinned and live animals for guests to see up close, learn about, and enjoy. He is also the author of Wylie Finds a Dinosaur, making this a fun experience for young readers, future scientists, and bug enthusiasts of all ages.
