Arts Fort Worth supports the City of Fort Worth’s efforts to explore arts-focused uses for the former downtown library site and commends city leadership for listening to public input throughout this process. We look forward to participating in the conversation as plans for the space continue to evolve. More information will be coming about how the public can participate in offering feedback about the potential uses of this space.

The Fort Worth Tourism PID (FWTPID) Cultural Initiative Grant provides marketing and promotional funding to arts and cultural organizations which promote and enhance the visibility of Fort Worth as an overnight destination to their patrons. An initiative can be a single event, season, or annual calendar of events. The FWTPID application is now open until July 31st.

This program is administered by Arts Fort Worth on behalf of and in collaboration with Visit Fort Worth.

Culturalyst: Fort Worth and Arts Fort Worth would like to introduce you to Sara Hiett, the Founder and Director of Panther City Artists.

Founded in June 2019 by Sara Hiett, Panther City Artists grew out of her 15 years as an art educator in Fort Worth ISD schools. Through her work with students and families, Sara witnessed firsthand the transformative power of art—and recognized a significant lack of accessible, inclusive art opportunities for Fort Worth’s diverse community.

Inspired to close that gap, she established Panther City Artists, a nonprofit rooted in the belief that "Everyone is an Artist". The organization creates meaningful, welcoming art experiences for people of all backgrounds, abilities, and ages.

Panther City Artists partners with schools, churches, nonprofits, and local businesses to bring creative programming directly into the community.
