Learning how to advocate for yourself is a powerful skill.

Our CASS Academy Core Members recently had the opportunity to learn from Jacob Pollard of Blue Jacket, who shared insight on workplace accommodations and the support available to individuals as they enter the workforce.

Core Members practiced how to request reasonable accommodations and learned who to turn to when support is needed, tools that build confidence and independence far beyond the classroom.

We’re grateful to Jacob and Blue Jacket, Inc. for investing in our students and their futures!

Our Small Groups at CASS are designed to help adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities build real-life skills in a supportive, hands-on environment.

Each group is intentionally small, giving participants space to learn, ask questions, and grow at their own pace.

Groups run in 6-week sessions, meeting once a week for 1.5 hours on Wednesday afternoons, with each session focused on a different topic based on real needs.

Our next session this summer will focus on cooking skills.
Applications are open on a rolling basis, and once accepted, individuals can sign up for any upcoming group that fits their goals.

Decorating graduation caps, preparing for a milestone.

As our CASS Academy Core Members prepare to graduate from the two-year program, they’re stepping into a season that reflects just how much they’ve grown. The confidence, the friendships, the perseverance, it’s all led to this.

It’s been a privilege to walk alongside each of them, and we couldn’t be prouder of who they’ve become.

We can’t wait to celebrate what’s next!
