A Scout is helpful, not because they’re asked to be, but because they notice when someone could use a hand. From pitching in at home to showing up for their community, Scouts know that helping makes a difference.

Three generations, TEN Eagles in the making! 🦅

In 1940, Richard K. Schnitz earned the rank of Eagle Scout through the Anthony Wayne Area Council. Today, his family’s Scouting legacy continues through three generations.

Six of Richard’s great-grandchildren have now earned Eagle Scout, while Addison and Sophia are currently Life Scouts and working toward the rank. When they complete their requirements, the Schnitz family will have 10 Eagle Scouts across three generations an incredible accomplishment for a rank earned by only about 2% of Scouts.

Pictured are Eagle Scout Chad Schnitz, grandson of Richard K. Schnitz, alongside Richard’s great-grandchildren who have earned or are working toward Eagle Scout.
