❤️ Introducing SACS HEART!

We’re excited to share one of the newest ways the SACS Education Foundation is supporting the people who make our schools so special: SACS HEART — Honoring Employees: Honor, Encourage, Appreciate, Recognize, Thrive.

HEART was created to find meaningful ways to celebrate, encourage, and show appreciation for SACS employees throughout the year — and it’s already in action!

Earlier this school year, the Foundation helped welcome every teacher new to SACS with a small gift at the newly formed New Teacher Academy. As they learned more about the district and began their SACS journey, we wanted our newest educators to know from the start that they are valued and supported.

❤️ And this is just the beginning. We can’t wait to share more ways SACS HEART will recognize and celebrate the incredible people who give so much to our students and schools.

📸 SACS SPIRIT: WE LOVE THIS PLACE! — And we have our winners! 🎉

You showed us your SACS spirit, and you definitely delivered! Nearly 50 photos were submitted for our We Love This Place photo contest, capturing the people, moments and school pride that make SACS so special. 💙

After all that school spirit, Deer Ridge and Lafayette Meadows came out on top! 🏆

And you know what that means… ☕ COFFEE TRUCKS are headed their way! Dates are being scheduled now, and we can’t wait to celebrate with both school communities.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined in, shared a photo and showed us why WE LOVE THIS PLACE! 💙📸

What a day! ⛳️

Yesterday, we witnessed the power of community at the CARES Cup! Surrounded by amazing people we rallied together to uplift SACS families through CARES.

A heartfelt thank you to our incredible volunteers and sponsors who poured their hearts into making this day unforgettable! We're forever grateful for your kindness, enthusiasm, and dedication to this mission!

The golf may be over, but the opportunity to make an impact isn’t! You can still show your support for SACS families by providing a backpack for a student in need or a CARES Kit for a family who could use a little extra support.

Every backpack. Every kit. Every gift sparks a brighter future!

Thank you for joining us in caring for our SACS families!

Meet the Board: Mark Gilpin! ❤️

Mark serves on both the SACS school board and the SACS Education Foundation board. Through those roles, he gives his time to supporting our schools, students, and community. We’re grateful for his commitment and glad to have him as part of the Foundation.

It’s an especially good day to celebrate Mark: happy birthday! We hope you enjoy your special day. 🎉

Meet the Board: Karen Parker! ❤️

Today is the CARES Cup, and we’re spotlighting Karen for the time and heart she gives to SACS CARES—Connection and Resources for Education and Success. This district-wide initiative helps meet the needs of SACS students and families, and Karen is one of the people helping make that work possible.

Karen shared why serving the Foundation means so much to her:

“I believe deeply in the power of education—not only to change the trajectory of a child’s life, but to strengthen an entire community. Volunteering with the SACS Education Foundation gives me the opportunity to make a meaningful impact right here in the community where I live and where my family has put down roots. Southwest Allen County Schools is an exceptional district, but what makes it truly special are the people—the teachers, staff, and administrators who show up every day committed to helping students thrive. And, of course, the kids are incredible. I love being part of an organization that brings our community together to support them, invest in their potential, and make an already amazing school district even stronger.”

On a day centered on caring for our community, we’re especially glad to celebrate someone who gives so much to it. Thank you, Karen, and happy birthday! Enjoy your special day. 🎉

Full hearts heading into CARES Cup week! ❤️
We’re so grateful for the individuals and businesses who show up for our SACS families when they need it most.
CARES Cup is more than a golf outing—it’s our community coming together to support students and families right here at home.
Not a golfer? You can still make an impact! Help us fund 100 backpacks ($100 each) and 50 CARES Kits ($50 each) to have ready for our schools when families need them. 🎒
Full hearts. Grateful community. Making a difference together.

Remember when we said we had another Superstar to celebrate? We couldn’t keep this one to ourselves any longer! 👀🌟

Give it up for Stoney Graham of Covington Elementary, one of our first two SACS Superstars of the school year! 🐾

As Covington welcomed new leadership this summer, Stoney jumped in wherever he was needed. He painted walls, cleaned carpets, prepared spaces, and helped make sure the school was ready for students. But his impact goes beyond the work you can see: Stoney helps make Covington a clean, safe, welcoming place where students know they belong.

Through many years of service and a variety of roles at SACS, Stoney has shown up for all students with dedication, flexibility, and care. Congratulations, Stoney! The Coyote Pack is lucky to have you. ❤️🖤
