🌟 Under the Lights — Save the Date! ❤️💙

Join Southwest Allen County Schools for Under the Lights, a community festival at Homestead High School bringing families, friends and neighbors together for an evening filled with fun, creativity and Spartan spirit!

Here are just a few things planned:
🎶 Live student performances featuring talented SACS' young artists
🎨 Make-and-take art activities for all ages
🍔 Food trucks with something for everyone
🏰 Bounce houses and activities for kids
🏫 Tours of Homestead High School to explore the exciting changes to our school

Under the Lights will celebrate the incredible talents of our students and staff highlighting the fine arts and learning opportunities across SACS. It’s an evening for our entire community, and everyone is welcome!

Congratulations Mr. Witzigreuter!

🎉 Exciting News! 🎉

Please join us in congratulating Homestead High School Associate Band Director Jason Witzigreuter, the 2026 SACS District Teacher of the Year, on being named one of the Top 25 Teachers in the State of Indiana! 👏🏆

Known for his belief that "It's fun to be good," Mr. Witzigreuter is more than an exceptional music educator—he is a mentor, leader, and champion for students. His guiding philosophy is simple:

"Every decision I make is in the best interest of students with an attitude of gratitude, an empathetic heart, authentic support and recognition, and a mantra of 'It's fun to be good.'"

This prestigious honor recognizes the tremendous impact he has on the lives of students each and every day. As one of Indiana's Top 25 Teachers, Mr. Witzigreuter is now in the running to be named the 2027 Indiana Teacher of the Year!

Celebrate the first Monday of the school year and eat at Logan’s between 5 & 8 PM on Monday, August 10th. Simply show the flyer (digital or physical) to your server or order “To Go” using the online tab: GIVE BACK NIGHT, for proceeds to go to the band. Remember, band families, to use RaiseRight to purchase your Logan’s eGift Card to earn money towards your CutTime account, while you are helping the band!!

July 29th Rita’s Italian Ice & Frozen Custard @ HHS
Rita’s Italian Ice & Frozen Custard will be at practice at 4 PM on Wednesday, July 29th selling cold treats. Grab some frozen happiness before you head home and cool off after band camp. Students, families, and friends of the band are welcome to participate and support the band!
