As many of you know, we already have two fundraisers scheduled in July. But if you know me, you also know that when someone needs help, I try to do everything I can to find a way to help. My heart and my calling have been in fundraising and helping our community, so when I see a need, it's hard for me to just sit back and do nothing.
Doghouse Rescue Academy holds a very special place in my heart. My sweet girl Kya, my boy Indy, and even my cat Summer all came from Doghouse. I truly can't imagine my life without them, and I'll forever be grateful for everything this rescue has done.
Right now, they're facing a rough time. The vet bills have been piling up due to medical needs, and because boarding is so expensive and fosters are limited, the president even has several dogs staying in her own home. They currently have a veterinary bill of over $4,000.
I know we can't erase that entire bill overnight, but I truly believe we can make a difference.
So... about 10 minutes ago, I threw together this 100-square online fundraiser! Each square is just $10, and if we sell all 100 squares, we'll be able to donate $1,000 directly toward their veterinary bill.
As you all know, I'm completely transparent with every fundraiser we do. So I'm going to be honest—I don't even know what all the prizes are going to be yet! That's why I'm telling you now. But I promise there will be four winners, and I will make sure each prize is worth at least $50. They may be gift baskets, gift cards, or a combination of both, and I'll be working on putting those together this week.
We have over 2,000 amazing people on this page. Imagine if even a small percentage of us grabbed just one square. We could fill this board quickly, go live to draw the winners, and most importantly, send Doghouse Rescue Academy a donation that will truly help.
