Fish With a Hero, Inc. is a public charity and Florida not-for-profit corporation qualified under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.

Fish With a Hero provides world class fishing experiences and sponsors programs designed to assist participants in dealing with the effects of PTSD, traumatic brain injury, and other disabilities and wounds of war.

🇺🇸 Islamorada, get ready to welcome our heroes!

From September 15–18, 25 wounded and disabled U.S. military veterans will join us in the Florida Keys for the 12th Annual Fish With A Hero Islamorada Event—four days of fishing, camaraderie and community.

Join us September 15 at 6:00 p.m. at Worldwide Sportsman and Islamorada Fishing Company to help give our veterans the welcome they deserve! 🇺🇸

The Veterans Welcome Reception is free and open to the public, thanks to the generous sponsorship of Bastion Fiduciary.

Pine Island Sound delivered! 🎣

Our heroes hit the water yesterday morning with Captain Stacey Corn of Eagle 6 Adventures for a great day of fishing, plenty of action, and even better memories.

Stacey, a retired U.S. Army Colonel with 34 years of service, founded Eagle 6 Adventures after his own journey with PTSD and a desire to continue serving fellow veterans. It made the day on the water even more meaningful.

Huge thanks to Captain Stacey and Eagle 6 Adventures for showing our guys an awesome time!

Summer Fishing Challenge: Generations on the Water

Another great summer fishing submission from one of our heroes! 🇺🇸

Fish With A Hero vet Bob Mignona spent some time fishing in Massachusetts this summer with his grandsons, making memories, sharing time on the water, and passing along a love of fishing to the next generation.

That’s what summer fishing is all about!

🇺🇸 TOMORROW: Fish With A Hero Workshop!

Join us Wednesday, August 19 from 4–6 PM at the Military Heritage Museum in Punta Gorda.

Fly casting with Joe, fly tying with Dre, fishing talk, pizza, and a special raffle for 4 spots on an August 24 fishing trip!

First tarpon = one unforgettable fight! 🎣🔥

Captain Chad Golliher put our hero Bob on this beauty with an 8wt fly rod and Bob got it done!

The crew also jumped four more tarpon and landed a few snook. Not a bad payoff for a 6 a.m. start!

A Great Day of Fishing, Friendship & Therapy on the Water!

There’s just something about being out on the water that does the soul good. Jeff enjoyed a great therapy day with Fish With A Hero and topped it off with this beautiful redfish!

Thank you to Joey for helping make another memorable day on the water possible.

Summer Fishing Challenge: Heroes on the Water

Here’s a good news, bad news fishing story!

Fish With a Hero volunteer Jim was fishing with family about 25 miles off the coast of Charleston this summer when he hooked this beautiful 36-inch cobia, one of the tastiest catches in the ocean.

The good news: What an incredible catch!
The bad news: It had to go back. At just one inch shy of the legal size, this beauty got to swim another day.

So close, Jim! That’s fishing for you.

Summer Fishing Challenge: Heroes on the Water

Now THAT is a catch! Ken reeled in this impressive 36-inch Musky in Tomahawk, Wisconsin last week and luckily, Larry was there to document the moment.

Larry even removed his sunglasses to make sure we could fully appreciate the look of pure joy on Ken’s face.
