(Can be any slides platform)
PowerPoint Night is tonight, and yes, we absolutely need an audience. 😂

Pick a topic you could talk about for 3–5 minutes, make a wildly unnecessary slide deck, and present it to people who are genuinely excited to hear about your hyperfixation.

No presentation? Come watch, learn something random, and ask questions.

Ages 14–24 • 5:30–7pm at Prism
Drop-In is open 2–6pm too.

BREAKING🚨 Colorado will vote on November 3 whether to force children to get “gender exams” at school—from elementary school through college.

The proposition, intended to ban trans kids from school sports, would leave every school to individually decide how to “check”
a child's s*x, subjecting them to humiliating and invasive processes.

Proposition 134 would force every school team in Colorado to be labeled boys-only, girls-only or mixed, based on a child's "biological reproductive system." It covers public, private and religious schools, including intramural and after-school teams.

The measure "does not impose a specific method for determining or demonstrating biological s*x," the state's official voter guide says. "Individual schools or school districts must determine their own verification procedures."

Opponents warn that gap will lead to hugely invasive checks on children. ‘One Colorado,’ the state's LGBTQ rights group, says it would "subject young people to invasive gender checks." Its director, Nadine Bridges, told CPR News that "if a young girl is too tall or too strong or looks older," any parent or official could decide she is trans.

The measure's supporters say it won't come to ge***al exams. "It's a birth certificate or a cheek swab," said Lori Gimelshteyn of Protect Kids Colorado.

There’s no evidence schools will use “cheek swabs.” Schools explicitly are left to decide how to “check” student’s genders themselves.

One mother told Colorado Newsline her trans daughter started playing basketball in fourth grade and made all of her friends through her teams. "She was not setting any records. She was not being recruited, scouted," her mother said.

"She just played because she loved to play."

Prop 134 needs only a simple majority. If it passes, it takes effect January 1.

If you appreciate Gay News, it would mean the world if you followed my page. Thank you for being here. 🏳️‍🌈
