Ashley serves as Director of Places of Belonging at the Othering and Belonging Institute at the University of California, Berkeley. Drawing on her work in belonging, research, and long-term societal change, Ashley will challenge us to reimagine interpretation as a powerful tool for fostering connection, strengthening communities, and creating places where everyone feels like they belong.

NAI recently had the opportunity to attend the Association of Nature Center Administrators (ANCA) 2026 Annual Summit at Chippewa Nature Center in Midland, Michigan!

It was great to connect with fellow professionals and spend time with a community dedicated to advancing the work of nature centers.
