Iโm thrilled to officially join you as the new Executive Director of ACCED-I.
First, I want to extend my sincere appreciation to Karen Nedbal for her tenure with the Association. 13 years is an extraordinary legacy of service, and Iโm grateful that our time briefly overlapped. Karen has given me a wonderful foundation as I step into this role, and I know I have big shoes to fill.
As my hiring announcement mentioned, Iโm especially excited to return to my higher education roots. And with the official fall season underway, this transition feels a little like Homecoming.
For many of us, Homecoming is about returning to a place that shaped us, reconnecting with familiar faces, and discovering how a community has grown and changed since we were last there. Thatโs exactly how these first few weeks have felt for me. Iโm reconnecting with former colleagues, getting reacquainted with a field Iโve missed, meeting new colleagues, and learning the traditions that make ACCED-I special.
