Fall has arrived, bringing a variety of gold, orange, and crimson foliage. Noble Square contains numerous trees, and we appreciate the seasonal leaf piles. If you visit the square, you will notice an abundance of leaves; as soon as our town crew collects them, a brisk wind often deposits another layer.

Big shout-out to the crew who takes care of our lawn and our leaves. 🙌

Can you help us out?

We recently learned about something called ghost signs.

These are old, faded painted signs on buildings that used to be businesses.

One of our members found one in their log granary, and it dates back to 1903.

What makes this sign interesting is its shape and the faint words, "Breakfast Served." Does anyone remember a Fish Creek restaurant, maybe Ethel & William Krause's cottage and restaurant?

October 3rd remains a day of mourning for the Fish Creek community.

More than 123 years ago (October 3, 1903), the community experienced profound grief due to the loss of life in this small village. The tragedy affected everyone, resulting in the loss of fathers, brothers, sisters, and close friends.

The Sinking of the Erie L. Hackley is considered the largest single sea disaster in the history of Green Bay waters..
