We asked Ephraim, Wisconsin, “What does it mean to you that America is celebrating its 250th anniversary?”

Thank you to the Ephraim Historical Foundation for helping us host community call out sessions for MyAmerica@250, a social media campaign designed to capture and amplify a variety of perspectives from Wisconsinites on what America’s 250th anniversary means to them.

MyAmerica@250 is a part of PBS Wisconsin and Wisconsin Public Radio’s larger America@250 Initiative, an exciting collaboration with the Center for Community and Nonprofit Studies, the Wisconsin Historical Society and the Wisconsin Veterans Museum to help communities connect and reflect on our shared history and the future of democracy.

Join us for the first History Speaks lecture of the 2026 season!

On Tuesday, June 2nd at 6pm, head to Harborside Park in Ephraim for an evening with Doc Heide of as he shares the history and stories behind one of Door County’s most beloved cultural institutions.
There may even be a special musical performance woven into the evening! 🎶

Bring a lawn chair or blanket and enjoy this free bayside program as we kick off another season of History Speaks!

We invite you to roll up your sleeves and join us in giving back to the village we all love. Participants can volunteer to help at one of our Historic Sites in or help out at another designated site throughout the village.

Join us this Sunday for our community potluck “Smörgåsbord” in the Ephraim Village Hall from 4-6pm!

We are so excited to announce our 2nd Annual Smörgåsbord on Sunday, February 22nd from 4-6pm at the Ephraim Village Hall! This fun, community event is a celebration of our Scandinavian heritage and we encourage all guests to bring a dish to share, as well as a non-perishable food donation for our local food drive.
