Looking Back: Downtown Ephraim

A look north on State Highway 42 in Ephraim, circa 1955. The facade of Wilson’s is visible at right, partly hidden by trees, and the Village Hall pokes above it in the background. At far left is Eagle Bluff, and on the west side of the highway the Iverson Moravian Monument rock sits in its present location. The road is lined with what appear to be Buicks, Lincolns and Pontiacs of the era.

Good morning, Old Post Office family and friends! We’re excited to kick off the season with our first fish boil tonight and to open for breakfast tomorrow morning from 7:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. We can’t wait to see all of our familiar faces along with many new ones throughout the season. Here’s to a great summer filled with good food, great company, and lasting memories!
