Hello Friends!

The EAA Chapter in Sturgeon Bay will be hosting two really fun and important seminars in April, with the first one being on Tuesday, April 7th at 6 PM focused on the importance of understanding and proficiency for all pilots, taught by the Milwaukee Safety Program Manager Jurg Grossenbacher. The second seminar is on Tuesday, April 21st at 6 PM and highlights those from Wisconsin who acheived Ace status while serving in WWI, WWII, Korea or Vietnam. Heads Up!

This June, the Ephraim-Gibraltar Airport will be celebrating 80 years of connecting northern Door county residents, businesses and visitors to the wider world. Opened for tourists the Summer of 1946, the Airport continues to be a vibrant part of the community and offers opportunities for young and old to experience general aviation, with the Friends providing sponsorships and scholarships to local high school students and graduates to pursue their dream of becoming a pilot and pursuing a career in any aviation-related vocation.

We plan on combining this 80th Anniversary Celebration with our Annual EAA Young Eagles Day on Saturday, June 6th for a community-wide event, and we will be providing more information each month as we get closer.

Confirming we are a GO for the EAA Young Eagles event tomorrow at the Ephraim-Gibraltar Airport! We will start flying kids at 9 AM and walk-ins are welcome (but expect to wait a little bit...).

Really excited to see everyone and very happy the weather is good.

Looks nice on Saturday!

Weather looks cool but nice on Saturday, so we are still ON for the EAA Young Eagles event from 9AM - 2PM! Anyone interested can register online at https://eaachapters.org/event-details/EY6704XI . We will have the Fire, Rescue and Police staff with their equipment onsite, as well as the Sturgeon Bay Civil Air Patrol chapter, and also gliders for kids to build while they wait! Excellent lunch as always coming from Alexanders!

I will send out a final confirmation by 12 Noon on Friday

Just 79 miles from the City of Green Bay, and 190 miles north of Milwaukee, the Ephraim-Gibraltar Airport is easily accessible from WIS 42, less than one mile from the highway.
