Apply by November 1! The Theodore B. Olson Memorial Fellowship is open to all levels of writers—emerging to established—in any genre, including journalism and academic writing. It's presented annually to a writer whose work focuses on how equal protection under the law is an inherent, sacred right belonging to all citizens and must therefore be robustly protected and applied. Application deadline: November 1.

The fellowship includes a two-week stay at Write On in Door County, WI, plus a stipend. For more information visit our website.

You can still register! From the work of Walt Whitman onward, the lyric poem has been a mainstay in American poetry. This workshop will focus on the components to composing a good lyric poem: a defined sense of place, an original narrative voice, and an embrace of the joy to be found in life's daily experiences. Through a series of specific prompts, we will spend the week writing, sharing, and discussing our poems in a welcoming, engaging seminar environment. November 2 - 6. $350.
