The Foundation funds grants to for projects and activities that go beyond the normal classroom experience.

The Fayetteville Public Education Foundation provides our students with extraordinary educational opportunities by fostering strategic partnerships and investing in innovative programs championed by our educators. Projects with the greatest consideration for funding should be original, pioneering or innovative, academically enrich the students’ experience in education.

Eat well and give back! 🍽️✏️ On Tuesday, Nov. 10, Ella's Table is donating 10% of all restaurant proceeds to the Fayetteville Public Education Foundation to support local students and their success in the classroom.

From classrooms and hallways to careers and communities around the globe, these honorees remind us that a Fayetteville education is just the beginning of what’s possible.

Tonight, we celebrate 30 years of excellence, leadership, and service — honoring the remarkable individuals who have shaped our past, inspired our present, and continue to pave the way for future generations.

A legacy of service, dedication, and breaking barriers. Meet Thelma and Romey Thomason, two trailblazing educators who helped shape the history of Fayetteville Public Schools.

As the first Black educators in the district, the Thomasons played an important role in a pivotal chapter of our community’s history. Together, they dedicated decades to educating, encouraging, and opening doors for generations of Fayetteville students.

Thelma’s remarkable 61 years of service remains the longest tenure in district history, while Romey’s impact extended far beyond the classroom through his leadership and commitment to helping others.

We are proud to honor Thelma and Romey Thomason as part of the Fayetteville Public Education Foundation’s 30th Annual Hall of Honor. Their legacy is one of perseverance, service, and a lasting commitment to education.

Breaking barriers, championing women, and leading the way. 💜 Meet Meredith Leach Lowry, Fayetteville High School Class of 1998 and a 2026 Hall of Honor inductee!

An accomplished attorney, educator, and community leader, Meredith has built a career at the intersection of law, innovation, and service.

As a partner at Wright Lindsey Jennings, she has helped shape the conversation around intellectual property, data privacy, and artificial intelligence in Arkansas. Beyond her legal career, Meredith founded Woman-Run, an initiative empowering women-owned businesses through mentorship, education, and connection.

From advocating for women in business to championing local nonprofits, Meredith is proof that great leadership is about more than professional success — it’s about opening doors for others.

We’re proud to celebrate Meredith and the lasting impact she’s making in Northwest Arkansas and beyond! 👏

Meet Anna Butt Harper, Fayetteville High School Class of 2000 and a 2026 Hall of Honor inductee!

From the halls of Fayetteville Public Schools to communities across the country and abroad, Anna has dedicated her life to creating opportunities for children and families facing poverty, trauma, and adversity.

As Executive Director of Partners in Opportunity in Dallas, co-founder of Propel DR, and a passionate advocate for foster care, Anna is putting compassion into action and changing lives along the way. Her story is a beautiful reminder that the impact of a Fayetteville education reaches far beyond the classroom.
