University of Arkansas Women's Giving Circle Make a greater impact together. The Women's Giving Circle is one such group.

Women’s Giving Circle members are alumnae and friends who recognize that women as donors have the capability of making a tremendous impact on the University of Arkansas, its students, faculty and staff. This impact grows exponentially when the contributions from women are united in support of the University through a collective voice. The Women's Giving Circle was created in 2002 by the founding m

embers of the Women and Philanthropy Committee of the Campaign for the Twenty-First Century. The purpose of the group is to create a substantial pool of new money from women in support of the University of Arkansas while, at the same time, encouraging women as philanthropic leaders. A major university aspiring to greatness must have supporters who are continually looking for new and innovative ways to generate funding in support of the University’s mission. The Women's Giving Circle identifies timely opportunities on the campus, particularly those with an emphasis on the enrichment of women's lives, and together chooses how to direct the group’s pooled resources through an annual grants award process.

For more than two decades, the Women’s Giving Circle at the University of Arkansas has united women as changemakers, pooling their philanthropy to direct over $2 million in grants supporting more than 170 campus and community initiatives.

We have officially reached our goal for our project - Educate Future Generations with the Women's Giving Circle! With your help and a $10,000 match from our President, Charlotte Downs, we were able to raise $24,500 in just 16 hours. We are now only $500 from a fully endowed Land of Opportunity scholarship!
