1834 Tavern Lafayette is seeking an experienced, hospitality-driven Lead Bartender to lead our bar program and create exceptional guest experiences. As a cornerstone of our front-of-house team, the Lead Bartender will be responsible for crafting quality cocktails, maintaining high service standards, training staff, and helping oversee daily bar operations.

Previous bartending experience, strong knowledge of classic cocktails, beer, wine, and spirits required; leadership or management experience preferred. Ideal candidates would practice excellent communication and guest service skills, be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment, have a passion for hospitality and creating exceptional experiences, and be reliable, professional and detail oriented.

We're thrilled to announce Dot’s Hot Chicken as our newest FIRA Member! 🤝

Dot’s began as a small food truck in 2017 with a mission to bring the heat of Nashville to Fayetteville. Last year, they made the move to a brick and mortar location just off of Huntsville Rd, where they continue to serve up some of the hottest, juiciest chicken in the state! 🔥🍗

By partnering with FIRA, Dot’s Hot Chicken is helping us continue supporting the workers who make Fayetteville's independent food scene thrive. Their contribution strengthens our H.E.R.O. Fund, which has provided more than $158,000 in emergency relief to local restaurant and bar workers since March 2020 to keep our hospitality community resilient and cared for. 💸

Level up your cheese knowledge with FIRA member business, Bloom Cheese Collective!

This recurring, industry gathering provides an opportunity to learn more about cheese and cheesemaking processes in a casual, conversation based group. Each class will include 4-6 cheeses, an occasional wine pairing, and lots of opportunity to ask questions. Come taste with us, find new favorites, and better understand how to connect your guests with what they are looking for!

Bring your experience (whether beginner or expert), your palette, and a notebook.

Registration is required, and tickets are $20 + tax (due the day of).
