The next few months are about giving our young people the tools, knowledge, and confidence they need to move forward.

We have three important opportunities coming up:

📅 September 19: Career Readiness
Helping young people build confidence and prepare for their next opportunity.

📅 September 26: Financial Literacy
Because understanding money, credit, budgeting, and financial decisions is a life skill, not just an adult responsibility.

📅 October 10 & October 24: CPR Training
Building awareness and lifesaving skills so our community can be more prepared when an emergency happens.

At Lumina Youth Empowerment, we’re not just creating programs.

We’re creating access to information, experiences, and skills that can impact a young person’s future.

Community → Exposure → Education → Opportunity.

And this is only the beginning.

This recognition belongs to all of us. 💙

At the Kpelleh Association of North Dakota’s 2nd Anniversary, Lumina Youth Empowerment was honored to receive the Champions of Youth Award.

While one of us stood up to receive the award, the faces behind Lumina are many.

They are our youth, families, volunteers, mentors, community members, and business partners who continue to believe in the work and help us create opportunities.

This recognition is a reflection of what happens when a community comes together with a shared commitment to our young people.

We are proud of the work we’re doing, not just for today, but for the future we are helping build for the next generation.

Thank you to everyone who has been part of the Lumina journey. This award is yours. 💙

Sometimes, you have to take young people somewhere they’ve never been so they can start imagining places they could one day belong.

For us, this wasn't just a trip.

It was an opportunity for young people to experience something outside of their everyday environment, ask questions, explore, and see what’s possible beyond what they already know.

At Lumina Youth Empowerment, we believe exposure matters.

When young people get access to new experiences, new environments, and new people, it can change the way they see themselves and their future.

That's what we're working to create, more opportunities, more access, and more reasons for our young people to dream bigger.

The goal isn't just to take them somewhere.
The goal is to help them see somewhere they could go. 💙

This is what community looks like.

Young people coming together.
Learning.
Playing.
Building friendships.
Finding confidence.
And most importantly, knowing that there is a community behind them that believes in their potential.

At Lumina Youth Empowerment, we’re committed to building opportunity, creating access, and strengthening community.

⚽ Fargo-Moorhead U8 & U14 Soccer Coaches/Teams : We’re Looking for You!

Lumina Youth Empowerment is looking to connect with U8 and U14 soccer coaches and teams in the Fargo-Moorhead area who are interested in joining our upcoming Lumina Winter Soccer League.

📅 Winter Season: Late October through March
📍 Fargo-Moorhead Area
⚽ Looking for coaches, existing teams, and players interested in organized league games.

If you’re a U8 or U14 coach, currently have a team, or are interested in coaching a team, please message me directly. We’d love to connect and provide more information about the league.
