🌿 Step-by-Step April Planting Deadline Guide

📅 Step 1: Early April (Around April 1)
🍅 Tomatoes – Start seeds indoors 6–8 weeks before your last frost to ensure strong transplants ready for outdoor growth.

📅 Step 2: First Week (Around April 5)
🫑 Bell Peppers – These need a long, warm season. Begin with seedlings for the best results.

📅 Step 3: Early April (Around April 8)
🍆 Eggplant – Requires steady warmth. Start indoors and transplant once conditions are suitable.

📅 Step 4: Mid-April (Around April 10)
🍈 Cantaloupe – Sow directly once the soil is consistently warm for proper sweetness and growth.

February is prime time for starting seeds indoors—especially if you want strong plants ready for spring planting 🌤️ Here’s the easiest seed-starting setup:
🟢 Small pots or trays with seed-starting mix
💡 Bright light (a sunny window works, but grow lights are even better)
💧 Water gently so seeds don’t wash away
🌡️ Warm spot to speed up germination
Quick tip: start slow! A few seed trays done well is better than 20 trays you can’t keep up with 😄🙌

Back to Furthermore. One of my all-time favorite plants = Verbascum 'Southern Charm'. Do the seed mix and you'll get a wonderful array of colors that really play well together. Although it's billed as a "short-lived perennial," it has survived several years for me with an increase in the colony.
