Reese Cowley is the 2026 scholarship recipient from UW Madison. He shared how a scholarship will help him reduce the financial burden of college saying, “Because of this scholarship, I won’t have to take on another student loan this year. Not having to work another part-time job really helps students like me.”

Snaps to our three 2026 Educational Foundation scholarship recipients from UVA! The Alan Silverman scholarship is given in the memory of chapter re-founder, Alan Silverman. Lukas Kubilius received this honor for the second year. Dylan Sejas received the Stan Klunder Scholarship, and Henry Nguyen was the recipient of a foundation general scholarship.

Today is . How did you wear your hair in college? Slicked back, crew cut, pompadour, mop top, pony tail, ‘fro, mullet, fade, man bun? This gold comb from the Pilam archives was given to Convention attendees (circa the 1920s). Hair tonic was not included.

Justin Gist (St. John’s) who was awarded the prestigious George Beck Scholarship this year said, “The scholarship is more than financial assistance. It’s motivation to keep putting ourselves in positions where we are experiencing growth and looking for more opportunities.” Well done, Justin!

Dr. Richard Feynman (MIT), received a Nobel Prize in Physics in 1965 for his work in quantum electrodynamics (QED) and the physics of elementary particles. He also assisted in the development of the atomic bomb during World War II, and later in life became known as a member of the Rogers Commission, the panel that investigated the Space Shuttle Challenger disaster.

Congratulations to Will Hazell (MIT) who is the 2026 recipient of the Lt. General Dayton Military Service scholarship and a general scholarship from the Foundation. Will is literally shooting for the stars and expressed his gratitude for the support saying, “The scholarships will allow me to get my degree in aerospace engineering… instrumental in my childhood dream (to become) a fighter pilot and later, an astronaut.”
