🏆 Congratulations Ellen Darmstadter on being the recipient of the 2026 USHJA Scholarship for Further Education! Ellen is an IHSA alum of Northwestern University.

"I am incredibly honored to be chosen for the USHJA Scholarship for Further Education," remarked Darmstadter. "Horses have taught me empathy, flexibility, and non-verbal communication skills, helping me improve not only as a rider but also as a future clinician. Final weeks for universities to join FEI Gen-next Sport Innovation Challenge 2026!

Together with ThinkSport, the FEI is inviting universities worldwide to give their students the opportunity to address two real challenges shaping the future of equestrian sport:

🔹 Fan Engagement: helping first-time viewers understand equestrian sport in under 60 seconds

🔹 Technology & Fairness: supporting more consistent and transparent flag judgement reviews in Eventing cross-country

Students will receive input and mentoring from FEI representatives and industry experts. Selected finalists will present their solutions at our state-of-the-art headquarters in Lausanne 🇨🇭

Participation is free for universities joining Gen-next for the first time, with no commitment to future editions.

🏆 The Old Dominion Athletic Conference announces its 2026 Hall of Fame Class, including Hollins University's Nancy Peterson!

🌟 Peterson joined the Hollins University riding program in 1972 and under her leadership, Hollins riders captured 19 individual IHSA national championships, two team national titles and four USHJA Hunter Seat High-Point Rider, presenting the Cacchione Cup championships.
