Our foster homes are the heart of Retriever Rescue of Colorado, and we’re looking for someone to help keep them connected and supported. 💛

We need a volunteer who can help:

🐶 Check in with our foster families
📸 Get updates on our pups so we can share their progress
🏡 Find out when a foster home is ready to welcome another dog
💬 Answer questions and help our fosters along the way

This is a great behind-the-scenes way to make a HUGE difference for our dogs. Every foster home we can support means we're better prepared to help the next pup who needs us.

🚗🐾 PREFER COORDINATING TRANSPORTATION? WE NEED YOU! 🐾🚗

Not every rescue role happens in a foster home. Sometimes helping a dog means simply making sure they get where they need to go! ❤️

We’re looking for someone to help coordinate transportation for our RROC pups—getting dogs from incoming transports to their foster homes and helping arrange rides to and from vet appointments.

📞 Love organizing and talking with people?
Help us connect with our amazing volunteers and coordinate drivers when a pup needs a ride.

🚗 Rather get behind the wheel yourself?
We can always use volunteers willing to help drive, too!

This is another important behind-the-scenes role that helps keep our rescue running and our dogs safe, healthy, and moving toward their forever homes. 🏡

You don’t have to foster to make a HUGE difference. Sometimes all it takes is a phone, a little organization…and a few willing drivers! 🐶💛

🐾 LOOKING FOR A WAY TO HELP RESCUE DOGS—WITHOUT FOSTERING? 🐾

We’re looking for two organized volunteers to take on important behind-the-scenes roles with Retriever Rescue of Colorado:

📞 Phone Interview Lead
🏡 Home Visit Lead

These roles help keep our adoption process moving and ultimately help our pups get one step closer to their forever homes. ❤️

You do NOT need to conduct phone interviews or home visits yourself! We need someone who can help coordinate the amazing volunteers who do.

You should be comfortable:
✔️ Staying organized
✔️ Using a spreadsheet
✔️ Checking email daily
✔️ Keeping things moving and following up when needed

Best of all, these positions are flexible and can work around your daily schedule, and our current volunteers will provide training to help you get started.

Sometimes saving dogs doesn't mean holding a leash. Sometimes it means keeping everything organized behind the scenes. 🐶❤️

Fostering gives a rescue dog the chance to decompress, learn what living in a home is like, and show us the personality that can be hard to see in a shelter.

Whether you can foster for a few weeks, help between fosters, or open your home when an urgent need comes up—you can make a difference.

This handsome Aussiedoodle is searching for a fun-loving, active family ready to keep up with a young dog who has plenty of energy—and plenty of love to give! 🤎

Boden is great with other dogs and will flourish in a home that can provide him with daily physical exercise AND mental stimulation. Walks, hikes, adventures, training games… Boden is ready for it!

🎓 He’s also been attending training and has really honed his obedience skills. He knows what he’s supposed to do—you may just have to occasionally remind him that you know he knows. 😂

Looking for a senior girl who still loves an adventure? Mila is ready to be your co-pilot! ❤️

This sweet girl LOVES car rides, camping, walks, and exploring the outdoors. In fact, when the camper van starts up, Mila does the cutest little happy dance because she knows an adventure is coming! 🚐🐾

At home, she’s just as happy curling up for cuddles. Mila enjoys a daily 1.5-mile walk and has plenty of enthusiasm for getting out and enjoying life.

Mila does like to be the boss 😉, but she currently lives successfully with two other dogs. Give her a little time to settle in, build trust, and learn the household routine, and she can coexist peacefully with canine companions.

🖤 Melanie is still waiting for her family! 🐾

The more we learn about this sweet 6-year-old girl, the more we love her!

Melanie adores people and kids and has the sweetest way of looking lovingly into your eyes and offering you her paw. 🥹 She loves being brushed, going for walks in this beautiful Colorado weather, and hopping in the car for rides around town.

Even better? Her foster mom says Melanie is completely trustworthy when left home alone. 🙌

Sweet, affectionate and ready to be someone’s best friend—Melanie just needs her people to find her. ❤️
