Last week we celebrated the end to our 2025-2026 school year with our site parties. This is a time for kids and tutors to have fun together, celebrate all their hard work, and honor and pray for our graduating 5th graders before breaking for the summer.

These parties look different at each site, but the smiles are consistent. One of our sites did a talent show where a student sang a song she wrote about all she learned in Club time this year.

It was a good year!

One of our tutors for Whiz Kids brings her son along with her to work in the background during their site. He overheard the announcement for our Spring Fundraiser and was determined to start fundraising. He created a QR code all on his own, commissioned some friends to walk around their neighborhood and raised $126 in one afternoon. He said, "If God is for Whiz Kids, we will make that goal!"

This past Saturday we had over 100 volunteers gather for Whiz Kids Connects to attend break out sessions and to learn strategies and skills to better help their student.

To kick off this day of training one of our former student-tutor pairs, Lex and Mr. Swigle, shared about their experience in Whiz Kids. Check it out!

Meet Courtney!

Courtney previously worked as a Speech-Language Pathologist in school settings for the past 5 years, where she developed a deep passion for supporting children, families, and educators. For the last 3 years, she's volunteered as a tutor
and school liaison with Whiz Kids and she is now joining our team as a Field Director!

Courtney is married and enjoys being the momma to a sweet 6 month old. She also enjoys going on walks, spending quiet time with the Lord, coffee, and spending time with family and friends.

We are so grateful for the wonderful partnership we have with the Broomfield Community Foundation and all they do to help us serve the students at Mountain View Elementary. It is such a blessing to have the support of this community organization and to watch how together we can impact the lives of students in the community!
