In Rainbow we have a fun little competition called Galloping Gavel. It’s a HUGE gavel that travels between assemblies in the same district. Every time an assembly wins it, their worthy Advisor gets to put a ribbon on it. This tradition has been going on for decades. One of the most competitive things about this “trophy” is that you can steal it from an assembly. To get it back the girls create a challenge for the assembly to do. Back in April we won the gavel, lovingly named Waldo. And at our very next meeting, it was stolen by a member of Bothell No. 47, IORG. To get it back we received a ransom note with three possible challenges on it. Our girls decided on an ice bucket challenge. Last night we went to Bothell’s stated meeting and four of our girls were soaked, but it was all worth it for Waldo has returned home.
This year Washington/Idaho Rainbow will celebrate. It’s 100 year. This little piece of history will continue to remind us of our past and teach us how to continue forward.

Our Rainbow girls have been saving up money for the last year and a half to go to Great Wolf Lodge. This weekend was PURE FUN!!! They budgeted for hotel, fun passes, and food. Rainbow teaches fiscal responsibility but also how to use it to have fun!

Come play with us at Forest Park! If you have a girl from 11-19 we invite you to picnic with the Everett Rainbow girls. Bring a sack lunch and be ready for games and friendship!

Clean Everett was today. A day to clean up the streets, the parks, the trails and do some spring cleaning at home. Our girls earned some service today by working at one of the 7 dumpsters the city had out for people to get rid of their stuff. They gave out compost to all the families who drove through.

Tonight we celebrated our graduate, Annika! It’s our tradition to give a stole embroidered with the Rainbow logo, their name, and school. Thank you to our Past Mother Advisor Michelle Arneson for making this beautiful treasure. Congrats ANNIKA!!!!

The Super SNOKING ritual team competed yesterday down in W. Seattle. 6 members from Epic Everett #9, 2 from Richmond Highlands Rainbow Girls, and 2 from Bothell No. 47, IORG got their ritual on and KILLED IT! They were poised, beautiful, and professional. Our district rocked ritual comp! Thanks to our Fearless leader PGWA Emily for your guidance and thanks to our Deputy Ms. Lori for pizza afterwards!

Galloping gavel is OURS! Richmond Highlands Rainbow Girls hosted a “Saturday Morning Breakfast” meeting where we all dressed up in pj’s or your fave cartoon. We had breakfast for dinner and WON WALDO! Mrs. Downing came and surprised us all by granting our stupendous Deputy Lori Brush, the Grand Cross!!!! Congrats!
The pages and j-reps gave great speeches and our
WAA Payton asked Sister Trader to be her Rainbow Dad for next term!

This is a story about how we died… from fun! GWA Sara’s Tangled themed GWAR was beautiful! The tower was unreal. Our grandies, pages, and j-reps SHINED like Repunzel’s golden hair! Nothing like a stop at Miners after roadtrip to Yakima!

MAY THE 4TH BE WITH YOU! WA Dorothy threw a Star Wars party that was out of this world! They played “Capture the Droid”, co****le and Star Wars trivia. It was a beautiful day to be in the sun with friends!

What’s better than initiating a new member? Initiating 2 new members! Everett Assembly proudly welcomes our pledge Charlie and our new sister Zoe into Washington/Idaho Rainbow! We had some very special guests come and help us out. Thank you to GWA Sarah and all the other grandies, pages, and other Rainbow girls who came to help us celebrate our new girls.
