This special girl looking for her equally special forever. She is currently in a wonderful foster home that will be ending soon with the school year at Northwestern wrapping up.

Our pretty and adoptable girl LaserJet has the BEST time at Bosly's Backyard yesterday! No better way to beat the heat AND she got her favorite thing ever, all the tennis balls!

LJ is so super smart and loves to learn! She was originally abandoned with us and we could tell she needed some time to trust us. Since then, we’ve discovered that she is overall an incredible pup! She’s done great with dogs and is so eager to bond, let’s get her adopted this weekend!

This could be your POV every day if you adopt King!

Seriously, it might be the treat he’s looking at but who cares, this boy would follow you to the moon (or sell you for a chicken nugget) but you’ll have so much fun with him in the meantime!

King came to us as a stray and we’ve been working on his leash manners, he’s making tremendous strides every week! Come check him out for the last day of our free adoptions event TODAY from 1-4 PM!

Lace up your sneakers and grab your leashes! 👟🐶 Trot for Tails 2026 is officially back on Saturday, July 11th, and registration & fundraising is OPEN!

The Trot is one of our biggest events of the year, helping us raise the vital funds needed to give Evanston’s companion animals the second chance at life they deserve. We can't keep the lights on without our amazing community. 🐾

This year, we are so excited to partner with Ridgeville Park District to bring back the Trot for Tails 5K walk! We will have fun activities along the walking path at 10 Ridgeville parks, with our signature festival with vendor and sponsor booths hosted at Ridgeville Park District on Ridge and South Boulevard.

Stamp your paws-ports, get a t-shirt, visit the booths, and support the Evanston Animal Shelter!

Pluto wants to remind you to come for FREE ADOPTIONS this weekend! ❤️

He’ll be waiting for you from 1-4 PM and this cutie deserves his forever. Before being surrendered to us, he had a lot of instability and this senior boy is ready to trade his cage for a couch!

He’s housebroken, quiet, and easy on the leash. He prefers a home with older kids and has been around other dogs! Come check him out!

In honor of Memorial Day Weekend (which everyone knows is the unofficial kickoff to summer) we’re waiving all adoption fees! Come visit us and bring home your new BFF in time for all the bbqs, beach days, and cooling off in the AC.

What a beautiful day to support our community! We spent a gorgeous morning outside doing what we love most - keeping pets healthy and with the people who love them. ☀️🐾💜

Today, we helped over 100 animals get the preventative care they need!

Our first vaccination and microchip clinic of the year in partnership with Cook County Department of Animal and Rabies Control was a huge success. These free events ensure that animals get the best chance at a healthy life, especially when their families just need a little extra support to care for their beloved companions.

We couldn't do it alone. An event like this truly takes a village, and we want to extend a massive thank you to the folks who made it happen! Thank you to Cook County Government for their ongoing partnership in making today a reality. Thank you to our fantastic vet partners for dedicating their time and medical expertise to Evanston's pets. And of course, thank you to our tireless volunteers and wonderful clinic participants who spent their morning soaking up the sunshine with us!

This is community support in action, and our hearts are sooooo full! Take a look at some of our favorite moments and faces from today! 🐾
