گزارش فرهنگی – محفل شب یلدا به میزبانی مرکز اجتماعی مولانا (RCC)-شیکاگو
مرکز اجتماعی مولانا (RCC) رسم شب یلدا یا چله (چهله) را در فضایی آکنده از عشق، همدلی و معنویت برگزار نمود. این گردهمایی فرهنگی با حضور دهها تن از اشتراککنندگان شکل گرفت و چهرهای روشن از همگرایی فرهنگی در جامعه مهاجر را ارائه نمود. حضور اشتراککنندگان از بستر اقوام گوناگون افغانستان در کنار همزبانان ایرانی، به محفل رنگی فراگیر بخشید و بیانگر آن شد که یلدا نقطهی پیوند دلها و حافظههای مشترک میباشد.
برنامه با گردانندگی بیمانند بانو سحر «صدیقی»، عضو جدید بورد رهبری RCC، آغاز گردید. سپس آقای شمس فروغ تشریفآوری مهمانان عزیز را خیرمقدم گفته، بر معنای یلدا بهعنوان نماد گذار از تاریکی به روشنایی و بر رسالت RCC در تقویت پیوندهای فرهنگی و اجتماعی در میان افغانستانیها، اعم از داخل کشور و در گستره دیاسپورا، تأکید ورزید. در همین چارچوب، فراگیر بودن محفل و احترام به تنوع اشتراککنندگان نیز مورد تأکید قرار گرفت.
پس از خوشآمدگویی، نخستین سخنران برنامه، محترم شاهآقا مجددی، با سخنان گهربار خویش به ارزش یلدا و ضرورت پاسداری از فرهنگ پرداختند. ایشان بدرستی تاکید نمودند که برگزاری برنامههای آگاهانه و منسجم از این دست میتواند پاسخی مدنی و فرهنگی به نگاههای تنگ و ستیزهجویانهای باشد که گاه از منظر برداشتهای سطحی مذهبی، نسبت به یلدا و نوروز اعتراض میگیرند. در بیان ایشان، چنین محافلی میتواند «آیینهای» باشد که در آن، اصالت فرهنگی در کنار احترام به باورهای دینی دیده شود، نه در برابر یکدیگر.
پس از ایشان، محترم استاد احدی نیز پیرامون پیشینه تاریخی و اهمیت فرهنگی شب یلدا سخنان روشنگرانه ارائه نمودند و در کنار آن، با قرائت شماری از سرودههای خود، به برنامه رنگ ادبی و معنایی بیشتری بخشیدند.
در ادامه سخنرانیها، شعرخوانیها و روایتهای فولکلوریک بر غنای برنامه افزود. روایتهایی از «چهلهخورد» و «چهله کوچک» در کنار دکلمه و خوانش شعر، فضای مجلس را به سوی تأمل جمعی سوق داد و یلدا را نه صرفاً یک مناسبت تقویمی، بلکه تجربهای زنده از پیوند با ریشهها و بازسازی امید در دل تاریکی معرفی کرد. این بخش برنامه با مشارکت و توجه حاضران، به یکی از پرمفهومترین لحظات برنامه تبدیل گردید.
در اخیر، آقای صدرالدین ایوبی بر اهمیت و اثربخشی مثبت همکاری هیئتمدیره مرکز اجتماعی مولانا (RCC) و همراهی داوطلبانه عزیزان ساکن شیکاگو در پیشبرد بیهمتای برنامه تأکید نمودند. بیگمان نقش دو عضو جدید هیئتمدیره، محترمه خانم ذکیه روشن و محترمه خانم سحر صدیقی، در کنار آقایان محمد نعیم صالحی، شمس حمدی و سایر اعضای بورد، در هماهنگی و پیشبرد برنامه بیهمتا بوده و شایان قدردانی میباشد. همچنان، سپاس ویژه از آقای امیرزاده، مسئول رستورانت «افغانهاوس» واقع «دیوان»، که با میل و ارادهی شخصی، بخشی از پذیرایی برنامه را به هزینه خود، همچون همیشه، فراهم ساختند و در گرمی و نظم این شب سهمی مؤثر داشتند.

۱) ماهنامه «افغانستان» که به همت محترم حضرت شاهآقا مجددی راهاندازی شده است، در حاشیه برنامه به اشتراککنندگان معرفی گردید.
۲) به احترام حریم خصوصی اشتراککنندگان، برخی تصاویر منتشرشده بنا به درخواست ایشان بازبینی شده و بخشهایی از آنها پوشانده شده است.

Cultural Report – Yalda Night Gathering
Hosted by the Rumi Community Center (RCC), Chicago
The Rumi Community Center (RCC) in Chicago celebrated Yalda Night, also known as Chelleh, in an atmosphere shaped by warmth, reflection, and shared cultural meaning. The gathering brought together dozens of participants and served as a clear expression of unity within the diaspora. Members of Afghanistan’s diverse ethnic communities came together alongside Iranian participants, creating an inclusive space that affirmed Yalda as a moment where collective memory, history, and human connection converge.
The evening began with distinguished hosting by Ms. Sahar Sediqi, a newly appointed member of the RCC Board. Her presence and guidance established a composed and intentional rhythm for the program. Welcoming remarks were then delivered by RCC President Mr. Shams Forough, who greeted the audience and reflected on Yalda as a symbol of humanity’s enduring movement from darkness toward light. He spoke to the mission of the Rumi Community Center in nurturing cultural and social ties among the people of Afghanistan, both within the homeland and across the diaspora, while reaffirming the Center’s commitment to inclusivity and respect for diversity.
Following these opening reflections, the first speaker, Mr. Shah Agha Mujadadi, offered an insightful address on the enduring value of Yalda and the responsibility of safeguarding cultural heritage. He emphasized that well-conceived cultural programs provide a constructive and civic response to narrow and confrontational viewpoints that at times challenge Yalda and Nowruz through limited or superficial religious interpretations. In his remarks, such gatherings were presented as spaces where cultural authenticity and religious values can coexist with mutual respect rather than conflict.
Mr. Mujadadi was followed by Professor Ahadi, who delivered illuminating observations on the historical foundations and cultural significance of Yalda Night. His remarks bridged academic insight with lived tradition, and his recitation of selected original poems added a distinct literary and emotional depth to the evening. Through his words, history and poetry met in a shared moment of reflection.
As the program unfolded, additional speeches, poetry readings, and folkloric narratives further enriched the gathering. References to historic folklore stories such as that of "Cheleh Khord and Cheleh Koochak", shared alongside poetic recitations, invited the audience into collective contemplation. Yalda emerged not simply as a calendar observance, but as a living tradition that reconnects individuals with their roots and renews hope during the longest night of the year.
Toward the close of the evening, RCC's Vice President Mr. Sadruddin Ayubi reflected on the positive impact of collaboration among the RCC Board and the dedicated volunteers of the Chicago community in realizing the event. He recognized the contributions of the two new board members, Ms. Zakiya Roshan and Ms. Sahar Sediqi, together with Mr. Mohammad Naeem Salehi, Mr. Shams Hamidi, and the broader board, whose coordination and commitment were central to the program’s success. Special appreciation was also extended to Mr. Amirzada, owner of Afghan House on Devon, who once again, through personal generosity, provided part of the evening’s refreshments and contributed meaningfully to the spirit of hospitality that defined the gathering.
