Ready to spice up your summer plans?

Join us for an Ethnic Market Tour and discover a side of Erie you may have never experienced before. Together, we'll visit vibrant markets, meet local shop owners, hear their stories, sample delicious foods, and explore flavors from around the world.

Led by Niken Astari Carpenter, this two-hour adventure is part cultural experience, part foodie excursion, and all about celebrating the people and traditions that make Erie such a special place to call home.

We're not saying this tour is life-changing... but your spice rack might never be the same.

Tickets are $40 and space is limited. Grab your Passport to Flavor and get ready to snack, stroll, and shop your way around the world—without ever leaving Erie.

🎨 Well, that was fast!

Thanks to an incredible outpouring of community support, the America 250 Community Mural is fully painted and our remaining community painting sessions have been canceled.

We are so grateful to everyone who stopped by, picked up a brush, and helped bring this project to life. What started as a mural became something even bigger—a celebration of community, creativity, and people coming together to make something beautiful.

Thank you for showing up, showing off your painting skills (or discovering them), and filling this project with so much heart. We can't wait for you to see the finished mural.

🎨 Last chance to be part of the America 250 Community Mural!

This is the final weekend to add your brushstroke to this community artwork before painting wraps up on June 7.

Stop by the Bowie Apartments Ballroom (Old Avalon Building at 10th & State) and help bring this mural to life. No artistic experience needed—just a willingness to jump in and add a little color.

🖌 Friday: 5:00–8:00 PM
🖌 Saturday: 12:00–3:00 PM & 5:00–8:00 PM
🖌 Sunday: 12:00–3:00 PM

We've loved seeing so many community members leave their mark on this project. If you've been meaning to stop by, now's the time! Come paint with us and help put the finishing touches on something special. 🇺🇸🎨

Pride Month is a time to celebrate visibility, belonging, and the people helping shape more inclusive communities.

Erie Arts & Culture Executive Director Susannah Faulkner shared her commitment to creating space where LGBTQIA+ individuals and organizations feel seen, supported, and connected in last year's Pride Edition of the Erie Reader.

Her leadership reflects the kind of future we believe in, one where the arts continue to strengthen community and where more people can see themselves represented in the cultural life of northwest Pennsylvania.
