Join the Sierra Club and Presque Isle Audubon on Sunday, April 26 at 10 AM as we explore part of Oil Creek State Park on the Gerard Hiking Trail. We’ll start at the Titusville end of the Park, by the Jersey Bridge. We’ll walk over the Creek on the Bridge then pick up the north end of the Gerard Hiking Trail. We’ll hike a few miles on a path through the woods, stop for lunch next to Oil Creek at the Boughton Swinging Bridge, then take the Multi-purpose paved trail back to the parking lot.

This will be a leisurely hike that will give us time to check out the birds and anything else that catches our eye. With stopping for lunch at the Bridge, the total time of this adventure can be about 4 hours, depends on how much we stop to look around.

There may be some shade in the woods, depending on how many of the trees have leafed out. Unless there’s been a big rainstorm, the Trail is generally dry, with a few small, wet or muddy spots. We can carpool. For more information or if you have questions, contact John Vanco at [email protected] or Sue Murawski at [email protected] do not need to be a member of the Sierra Club or Presque Isle Audubon to participate. Hope to see your there!
